My ServicesBy scheduling a "get to know me" visit, we can discuss what you are looking for in a doula and determine if we are a good fit for each other! I am also willing to travel outside the Omaha area. I have done births in Lincoln, Columbus, and Council Bluffs. I look forward to chatting with you and answering as many questions as I can.
I have experience in both medicated and unmedicated birth, low-intervention birth, Hypnobabies birth, cesarean, VBAC, and homebirth. I have personal experience with Postpartum Depression and breastfeeding babies with MSPI, reflux, and food intolerances.
My services include but are not limited to:
- A minimum of 2 prenatal visits to get to know each other and discuss what kind of birth you would like.
- I will answer as many questions as I can and refer you to additional resources so you can make educated decisions about your birth. I feel it is important to know all of your options and potential situations that may arise during labor so that there are as few surprises as possible.
- I can assist you in birth planning and preparation.
- I am available for ongoing telephone/email support at anytime.
- 2 weeks before your due date I am on-call for you. This means I will not leave town or be unreachable at anytime.
- Once your labor has begun, I will meet you at your home or place of birth when you are ready. I will stay with you continuously until your baby is born and stay until you are comfortable.
- I offer relaxation and breathing techniques, massage, imagery, emotional and informational support.
- I offer initial lactation support and can refer you to a lactation consultant as needed.
- I will meet with you again in the postpartum phase, typically 5-7 days after your birth. At this visit we can evaluate your birth experience together and make sure the transition back to daily life with your baby is going well. I will also provide you with a typed account of your labor and birth as a keepsake of your amazing journey!
