| My name is Sara Sayre. I am a nurse, a wife, a mom of three, and a doula! My experience with birth started when I was a young child growing up in a family of 12. As one of the oldest, I was privileged to take part in the births of nearly all of my siblings. I grew up with an appreciation for the beauty and the power of birth. I also learned early on that the process of birth is not something to be feared or dreaded. I believe birth is to be embraced and celebrated! My own births were powerful and life-changing and have inspired me to help other women experience the true beauty and power of their own births. | |
| | | I have been a registered nurse since 1999 with most of my experience working in pediatrics. Though I enjoyed working with many families over the years, I am no longer practicing as a nurse. My passion is advocating for birthing women and their families. I am a DONA-certified birth doula and have been attending births since 2008. I have experience with both natural and medicated birth, VBAC, homebirth, and cesarean birth. I also have personal experience with PPD and breastfeeding food intolerant babies. I have been a part of many beautiful births throughout the years, each one an honor and an inspiration that has led me down this amazing path!
